Version 2.0.0 – What a disappointment!

At the first glance it looked promising, I liked especially the new look of the slideshow. But after some testing I discovered two issues which made me revert to the previous version:

1. the sequence of the galleries within an album is not observed. What is included top-down in the album definition is now shown bottoms-up on the page with the album, and the sequence in between gets mixed up in addition.
2. most annoyingly the plug-in seems to interfere with the web site when switching pages: I observed a short overlay of the (in my case blue) background over the pages which have a white background.

Considering the obvious lack of thorough testing of this version before it was released makes me wonder about the trustworthiness of the developers. So far I have been a happy user of NextGEN but will start evaluating alternative solutions now. For the time being I will continue to use 1.9.13 though.
