• I uploaded eshop this morning and it shows up successfully on my plugins page. When I click to activate I get the following message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_shortcode() in /hermes/web10/b2502/flightsofwhimzy/wp-content/plugins/eshop/eshop.php on line 326

I have downloaded and uploaded twice with the same problem.

I’m not getting that error myself, can you check that you have uploaded the eshop-shortcodes.php file.

I tried to upload the new version 2.6.3, but my ftp programm shows only this: Invalide argument to date encode. The older version 2.6.1 will be accepted by the ftp-programm. Very funny!

very strange – do you know what file was causing this error?

I installed the e-shop plugin, and now my blog comes up as a blank page. Not even a login screen. Can you offer any advice?

Advice? well uninstall the plugin first and foremost.

Depends what other plugins you have, and which versions you are using, both of eShop and WordPress. But for now I’ll assume the latest of both.

If you have other plugins try disabling all of them, then enable eshop – does the same error occur?

Then try re-enabling each plugin, testing as you go to see which of them might be causing this conflict with eShop. and then let me know and I’ll have a look.

That worked! Thanks! I deleted the plugin from the plugins directory. And thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I’m going to upgrade my WordPress version and try again.

    Hi again,

I’ve tried to install again and the plugin isn’t working for me. This is what I am using:

    Mac OS 10.5.2
    Firefox 3.0.1 (for Mac)
Internet Explorer 5.2 (for Mac – yes, I tried both browsers)
WordPress 2.6 (no plugins except eShop, its a fresh install)

    My webserver is running:
    PHP 5.1.6
    MySql 4.1.18

When I activate the plugin in Firefox it opens new windows over and over until I kill Firefox. If I activate in Internet Explorer then it seems to work, but it does not create any of the 6 pages that the Install Instructions say it should create.

But – it does add the Product info section to my “Write Page” window in the Admin Screens.

And – when I try to view my site, it only loads a white screen. So I’ve renamed the eShop plugin directory and then the blog works again, but without eShop.

Do you think I should give up and try something else?

I think you might have to – I’m unable to recreate the error myself.

And, with apologies to WordPress, activating debug mode within wordpress probably won’t help me identify the problem.

I have no idea what would cause the multiple windows to open ??

So please accept my apologies for not being able to help.
