• As you can see from my forum post and work-around, I was having the same old problem everyone has regarding linking to a Lightbox show from one image or link. See here. I dislike intensely NextGen Gallery so I spent ages finding a solution. Whilst I am sure there are a number of work-arounds out there, the only one that has worked for me so far has been to use this plug-in and the display:none style on images (I’ve included a walk-through on my post). I give it five stars for preventing me from pulling out the rest of my hair.

I know this is the nature of the prettyPhoto look and not so much the plugin itself, but I would like edge-to-edge images. PrettyPhoto always reduces the images by slapping large invisible margins round all four sides. I’m going to attempt to hack the css to over-ride this but if you could include this as an option in the next version, or msg me to let me know a work-around, I would be very grateful.

In the meantime, thanks for a plug-in that actually works and keep up the great work.

  • Hey there,

I am hoping you can help me or point me in the right direction. I tried looking at the support from the developer, but I could not make heads or tails of it.

I didn’t think I was an idiot, but upon reading everybody else’s comments about how easy Royal PrettyPhoto is to use, I am beginning to rethink my idiocy.

I cannot begin to use it; it does not appear in my Dashboard. The only reference to it is under “Dashboard / Settings / Royal PrettyPhoto” where I can edit global settings, but that is the ONLY place that I can see any evidence of it. So I have no idea where to begin.

I am wondering if the warning “NOTE: This plugin requires the WP_footer() hook to be fired from your theme.” might have something to do with it, but I have no idea what the warning means or what I should do to address it.

I am using the theme Coraline.

I am relatively new to WordPress — there is a lot of lingo I do not yet know.

Thanks for you time and any assistance you can offer.

    Ted,

Recommend you post your comment up in the relevant support forum. This is the review section.

    Cheers
