Works if you only have one environment

  • If you only have one environment…this plugin works as described, is easy to use, and simple instructions are included in the interface.

    If you have both a development environment and a production environment…this plugin will make your life a nightmare. You cannot simply push the files and the new SQL from one environment to another. You must first disable the plugin and revert your .htaccess file, then copy everything over, then enable the plugin, and then go through all your individual plugin options again. What should be made simple by a good plugin suddenly becomes an overwhelming, tedious task.

    Security is important, so if you have separate dev and production environments you should absolutely get a security plugin…just not this one.
