BlankSlate should be standard
-
Good job! BlankSlate should be standard in every WordPress install – it’s the best starting point to create your own theme, even with a basic understanding of html and css.
Adding code to this naked framework to taylor your own needs is infinitely easier and quicker than spending ages figuring out, removing and changing code in an existing theme (and continuously wondering why it’s so hard to make your changes work…). It also makes for much faster working sites, without unnecessary code and features to run. And I mean: much, much faster.
Uptill now I found WordPress technically hard to understand. Using BlankSlate changed that: suddenly my code just works as intended!
One suggestion though: some extra white spaces here and there and rules on new lines would be nice to make the code more readable.
Thanks!
