Extremely sorry that you had problems, that is why we created the backup and send the email stating that it is there.
We communicate heavily with our plugin users and would have happily resolved your problem for free. I’m sorry that your setup was incompatible, as there are millions (if not trillions) of combinations of servers, modules, plugins, and wp versions it is hard to say “this works all the time every time” but we have your best interests in mind.
I hope that one day you can edit this plugin in knowing that a bad review on a great plugin only hurts the developers who are out there trying to make a difference – for free. We believe in WordPress and we, in turn, believe in you. For us to continue writing code we need feed back that helps, not reviews that hurt. Let us know about your problems, we can fix anything … except a bad reputation based on a poor first impression.
I personally am to blame for your crash and truly ask for forgiveness without any hesitation. It pains me when I hear about this stuff, but it pains our development efforts when I read about it on a review forum.
