Remove Permalink showing the word “category”?

Right now I have this site up: https://www.animeusa.org
I just converted it to permalinks and for the most part it’s working out fine. Only one problem is that when you go to a category page it puts the word “category” before the actual category name. Is there a way to get rid of this?
On this page, click on news or 2008 Guests.
News for instance, says this: https://www.animeusa.org/category/news/
But I want it to just be: https://www.animeusa.org/news/Is there a way to get rid of the word “category”?
