Stuck on 2.0 because of ezstatic plugin
-
I keep thinking I should upgrade to the current version of WordPress, but I’m put off because my site depends on Owen Winkler’s now-abandoned EzStatic plugin to show static pages.
Does anyone know if EzStatic can be made to work with WordPress 2.5? Or can someone suggest a good alternative.
I’ve looked at changing to using WordPress Pages, but that seems to require allowing WordPress total control over your .htaccess file, and I don’t want to do that (see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/53694?replies=14).
Pages would be OK if they could be configured to use a prefix in the URL path, so I could set up a .htaccess rule for them (something like https://www.caboose.org.uk/pages/pagetitle).
So, can anyone suggest anything or do I have to completely restructure my site to suit how WordPress wants to do things?
Kevin
