nice plugin

  • I’ve tried several security plugins and this one seems very complete and easy to use.
    The problems I’ve found: the maintenance mode doesn’t work properly, and the hotlink prevention broke all the images from my own website. Also in my case, if I activate the “Block Spambots From Posting Comments”, it breaks the comment option and nobody can comment my blog (not even myself when I’m logged in).

    Perhaps you can share with us exactly what are the problems you are seeing with the features you mentioned by submitting some support threads and providing more information?

    One of the issues I’ve found is in the maintenance mode, when it is active it doesn’t show any message to not-logged users, only a grey page. I’ve tested it in several browsers with the same results.

    The other thing that gave me troubles is the “Prevent Image Hotlinking”, when I activated it, it broke all the images from my website (even the template images).

    In the file permission scan, some of the “set recommended permission” doesn’t work in one of my sites but I think that problem is in my WP (which mark some of the current permission in 0), and not from the plugin because it has worked fine in other installations.

    These are the only issues I’ve found by now. The rest is working fine.

    Just to verify, do you have a message set in the maintenance mode settings tab? Is it by any chance doing grey on grey text?
