Plugin not working on new installs – may not be supported anymore

The plugin used to be great and is still working on old installs but it appears to be having issues on new installs for me and a number of people commenting about it online. From looking at the wordpress directory, it says there haven’t been support responses in 7 months. Plus, their website at plulz.com has been off line for many months.
