• i don’t understand what the people at wordpress.com want to achieve with this plugin, it literally slows everything down, probably because it is such a big plugin, but also the need to connect to wordpress.com and mirror to wordpress.com content and have wordpress.com stuff running on the background and on the site when its not needed is quite a hog in every sense of the word, uninstall it from 6 of my sites and going to keep well away from it!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Thanks for the feedback!

We’ve developed Jetpack to bring some of the features that were previously only available on WordPress.com blogs, to self-hosted WordPress sites. That’s why you see so many features coming from WordPress.com.

If you’re willing to give Jetpack another try, you can then activate and deactivate modules by going to Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard, as explained here:
    https://jetpack.me/support/activate-and-deactivate-modules/

It’s also a good first step when experiencing performance issues: you can deactivate each module, one at a time, until you find the module that slows down your site. If you can narrow the problem down to a specific module, do not hesitate to let me know!
