  • DreyT – this plugin has no SMS functionality. I’m not sure why you’re giving this plugin a 1 star review based on a feature this plugin has never offered.

I’ve installed this plugin. It requested app id. For app id I should go to facebook and facebook has requested my phone verification.
I have entered my number and asked facebook to verify it via SMS.
I din’t receive this SMS (none from 3 tries).

I understand that it can be issue between facebook and my cell operator, but anyway, why should I use app id for such a simple action (add FB comments to my site?

That’s why I left such a rate and comment for your plugin. I think this plugin doesn’t worth to install – better use this developers link: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments/

You have just confirmed this issue (and your review) has nothing to do with the plugin. If Facebook asks for an App ID to be used then you must use it. If they require SMS verification then this is Facebook, not the plugin.

The developers link you added IS the plugin! This will lead you down the same path as you still need an App ID to use it.

Weird, but it didn’t ask me to enter app id.

It doesn’t by default, but when the code generation popup dialog shows, you’ll notice you have to select an app to attach the comment box to. This is where, before you navigate to that page, you should have already created an App to connect it to – and where your issue arises. This has nothing to do with the plugin functionality.

I have successfully added FB comments to my site without my app id,
Myabe on developers page there was included app id from these developers, i don’t really know.
Anyway, I understand your position and changed review to “works” (2 stars) cause I can’t see the link to delete my review.

Checked added comments and realised that on different pages there were same comments which is bad. Reverted back and used your plugin, Alex.
    Sorry for the first review!

That’s ok DreyT, thanks for coming back!
