• Nice plug-in, but it doesn’t prevent a viewer from being able to download/print the document (they can just use the popout feature). The FAQs should be updated.

If anyone knows of a WP plug-in that avoids this issue, please chime in!

Thank you for your feedback. You are right that the documentation still needs some updates to ensure it explains what is currently available (after changes Google made to their viewer service). I’ll make sure that’s on our list of things to do.

I also maintain a PDF Embedder plugin which would help you if you can save your document as a PDF. The free version has no print or download function, and there is also a paid ‘secure’ version which goes a step further and makes it difficult to obtain the source PDF even if the user tries to look behind the scenes.

    Thanks, Dan.

FYI, I had tried the PDF Embedder first, and I did like how the pdf cannot be downloaded/printed easily. However, I couldn’t get the formatting right (for the container window to match the pdf without scrolling), unlike this plug-in where it looks great. I had left a support ticket (that you answered) and review regarding this. Hopefully one of your two plug-ins progresses further! ??

OK that makes sense. As before, hopefully we’ll get a chance to do more development very soon.

Thank you also for your (entirely fair) reviews. If we’re able to improve things to your liking, please do consider resubmitting higher reviews in the future to let people know things are changing!
