• Q: What can I do to be up to date with new releases of my WordPress version, plugins and themes?

A: Simply deativate the plugin for a short time. In case new versions are available you see the WordPress notifications.

Simply deativate the plugin?! …. and aaaall updates will come (useful or not)… (

Hi Dymskiy. Sad me is sad for receiving a 1 star review.

Simply deativate the plugin?! …. and aaaall updates will come (useful or not)

That’s exactly the purpose of the plugin. Once installed, it blocks ALL updates and notifications (as the plugin name implies) until you deactivate the plugin.

Why would you install the “Disable All WordPress Updates” plugin if you obviously still WANT to receive updates in the first place? ??

    Because Name Already Exists

    Useful plugins..

    @dymskiy
I think this plugins very useful for certain purpose, I have using this plugins when developing WordPress site in offline environment since WordPress update checker will slowing, after that, not only deactivating, but I also remove this plugins.

@dymskiy, did you just rate this plugin 1 star because it doesn’t work when NOT active? You’re unbelievable.

For everyone reading this: the plugin works flawlessly and delivers exactly what advertised. When active, the website is frozen, no updates whatsoever. They don’t even show up, because WP never checks for them so you can safely deliver a website to a client and guarantee everything will work, provided they NEVER deactivate this plugin.

Of course, if the version(s) of WP, theme or plugins you froze the website to contain vulnerabilities, it will be your job to fix them for your client if he ever gets hacked. But in the long run it’s a lot better than having to fix each client’s website broken from incompatible updates between theme, plugins and WP.

5 stars from me with a big thank you to the author.

    Thank you, acub!

@dymskiy You rated this plugin 1 star, even though it does EXACTLY what it says it does? Mind boggling!

As of my posting, the plugin works like advertised.. thank you Author, 5 stars.

@bernardberry646: He rated it 1 star specifically because it did what it said it would. Perhaps he would have rated it 5 stars if it didn’t work, who knows?

I’ll release a broken malfunctioning fork of it soon to get it 5 stars.

Actually I only read 1 star reviews to know what to expect, so when I see a 1* review stating the plugin works perfectly, it’s very convenient! I just installed it, it’s indeed really annoying to be on the look out for compatibility issues between wordpress, theme, plugin, plugin addons…
