[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] From thumbnail to gallery

  • First: Great plug-in!

    I’d like to show a thumbnail on the first page, with a link to the gallery. This, because the gallery is a users gallery that is updatet with one picture every week (based on a “competition”.

    The thumbnail should then be the lastest picture added in the gallery( I am manually sorting the galley, this works just fine).

    I havent really sorted tis out yet. Any hints/ ideas?

    i don’know if there are better ones these two come to my mind.
    one way would be to insert an album referring to to the chosen gallery on this page,what you would have to do manually (weekly) is to change the preview picture under gallery->manage->gallery->gallery options.

    If you dont like that the other way would be to insert the picture manually (in the current versions of wp and ngg you can choose single images from the galleries via Add Media) and then alter the link from pointing to the full image to pointing to the gallery of your choice. If you’ve got an overlay effect running you still might have to go into the html code of the post to eliminate anything which evokes the overlay effect.
