Buggy to update

I have tried this plugin on a couple of sites, and the update process for 8.1 and 8.2 versions has been very buggy. The program seems to update, but doesn’t notify WP that it is finished, so WP hangs, and I have to manually delete the maintenance file to put site back up.

Update 9/4/2015 – Updates to 8.4 and 8.5 still hang as well.

Update 1/5/2016 – Just did the update to 8.6 and guess what, still the same problem. It installs the update but never notifies that it completes. Still had to manually delete maintenance file to get site back up. Out of the many plugins I have used on multiple WP sites, this is the only plugin that I have this problem with.
