Causing tremendous problems on a site I am developing

  • Pages won’t update immediately, sometimes hours, sometimes days, sometimes never. Given the comments am afraid to uninstall. Am going to back up and try to restore the site. Wish me luck! By the way, this plugin installed itself when I did my WordPress install and activated Jetpack.

  • Don’t use caching when developing sites. That is a bad idea. Because of the very nature of caching it won’t update content for a while so it can serve the same content to viewers and not make database query and generate the page each time a page is visited. I recommend you try the plugin once you have fully developed the site. Then going forward the delay won’t be an issue. But your “problem” isn’t actually a problem at all. The plugin is functioning correctly.

    I deinstalled the plugin and things are now back to normal. Thanks for the response!
