  • your site has been hacked.

    Look at the source of your front page.

    It was hacked because you are running a version of wordpress that is known to be exploitable.

    <meta name="generator" content="WordPress 2.0" /> <!-- leave this for stats please -->

    there is no perfect solution to undoing this, you have to do some reading:

    I am a novice. All I do is login to update my blog. Is this something easy to do?

    No it isnt. But upgrading is, or should have been for you. Perhaps you ought to consider using static pages if you cannot keep up with security upgrades or are unwilling to pay someone to do it for you.

    Just food for thought.

    I am using bluehost as my host. Is there a way to upgrade to a different version of wordpress through the control panel. I’ve been doing all my work through wordpress’s control panel online.

    Youre asking questions instead of reading. Your site is hacked. Upgrading isnt the ONLY thing you need to do now.

    It would have been the only thing you needed to do, BEFORE you were hacked. You have moved beyond that..

    I don’t see <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 2.0″ /> <!– leave this for stats please –> as you suggested i look for. how do i get rid of this thing if I don’t know what it looks like?

    I pasted that out of the source of your front page to show you what version of WordPress you are using. I didnt “suggest” anything.

    Look, I have provided you with what you need to get started fixing your site.

    1. Youre hacked.
    2. You need to read through the other posts, and follow the instructions within them
    3. Those instructions will include upgrading your current WordPress installation.

    if you cant do that, then pay someone that can and will. If you dont want to pay, then suffer the hacking, shitcan your site, or contact bluehost.

    Good luck.
