News.php instead of index.php (v. 1.2)

  • I have installed 1.2 and want to use it as a news tool so I easily can publish news.. Problem is, the news will be published on news.php
    The standard is index.php but how do I change that to news.php – in 1.0.2 it is easy to do that, but I have looked and looked and looked and I can’t find anywhere I can define that news.php should be the standard site…
    Anyone who knows how to do that?

  • Not sure where’s your problem…
    Just rename the index.php file of the wordpress install to news.php and you’ll get the result your expecting.
    Note that you’ll need to use/create another index.php or index.html file (containing whatever you want) if you don’t want visitors to see your file listing.

    wp-admin/options.php?option_group_id=all
