Change default category names?

  • Is it possible to change the default category names like “category”, “meta”, and “archives” to something else? The reason I’m asking is because I’m using a script that also uses categories (for link management) and I think the scripts are clashing because of it. I hope I am making sense.

  • You totally are!! I changed them on the template itself, but it didn’t help! I need to change it for localizationn purposes. At the text that is shown should be changeable!

    Anyone got a new idea to fix this ? So, for example, change “Categories” into something elso, like “Subjects” ?

    Thank you, Kafkaesqui, but I’m using the Kubrick version. A Ctrl-F search in Dreamweaver on “catagories” in index.php didn’t give me the desired result. Maybe there are other suggestions?
    Excuse me for those noobish questions, but I’m sure this topic, when answered, can still be useful for other starters with WordPress !
