chaning Excerpts to Full Posts in categories

Before you say it, ive looked here

under heading Modifying How Posts are Displayed

I cannot find
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
or
<?php the_content(); ?>

in the php file archive.php, which is what my categories pages uses
I have pasted the code below.

Any help or ideas welcome
