    You can’t use it or just make test for directory, you must have payement methode account ??

    Hi Pierre,

    I believe we have a misunderstanding here about the directory. You posted a support thread here with a question at the exact same time you provided this rating, without waiting for a reply.

    You do NOT need to buy a payment gateway to use or test the directory–I’m not sure where you got that impression. You can install and use the directory in free mode, without any problems.

    You can also use our free payment gateway Authorize.net to accept payments in the plugin as well. We switched from Google Wallet in March 2015 because they discontinued that at the time.

    In light of this new information, I’d really appreciate it if you’d reconsider your review since it seems to be based on some incorrect assumptions.

    If you need further help, our support forum is very responsive and posting support questions there is the best place to get questions answered and help for the plugin.

    I just want to use directory, no payment system, then i lose many hour to try to find how is possible to delete the message about payment system.
    I make many search, but no solution for those who won’t payment system and i won’t open an account, just use reel free directory,

    I think it can be more honest if you tell in front page of plugin, with big police “this plug-in work only if you subscribe to a payment system”.

    Hi Pierre,

    I still think we have a misunderstanding here. You aren’t required to use payments with the directory, period.

    There is a simple setting under Directory Admin->Manage Options, Payments tab. Uncheck “Payment mode”. That will cause the message to disappear.

    And if you had posted it in the support forums, I would have happily replied with this information within a short time.

    We’re not deceiving anyone here–there’s no subterfuge. We DO NOT require you to install or use ANY PAYMENT SYSTEM at all. Again, if you have issues, please ask questions and we’re happy to help.

    “Uncheck “Payment mode”
    It’s the first thing i do, but the message :

    “”You are offering featured listings (or paid listings) but have payments turned off. Go to Manage Options – Payment to change the payment settings. Until you change this, the (Paid Listings) Upgrade to Featured option will be disabled.”

    don’t go out and i made many search and find only response like that :

    And i read other user message who have same problem, if you don’t know about that, i think it’s a bug.

    Go to Options > Registration and uncheck “Require login to post listings”. There is no need for a payment module to create listings.

    Hi Pierre,

    OK, this is something new and different (not that we require payments, which we don’t as I mentioned above)–this is something that we could have easily uncovered in a support thread rather than this rating.

    The featured/sticky listing is something that is intended to collect a payment (otherwise, why would you have a featured listing that is free like your listings? Everyone would take the featured listing option if it cost nothing)

    Of course, if you have a free directory and want to manage that as the admin, you can simply ignore the message and upgrade listings.

    The message isn’t a bug–it’s a signal to someone who is configuring the directory and letting you know that there’s a possible problem.

    If you make a choice to have that, then you can safely ignore the message after that. Again, I’m sorry you had a negative experience in this case but we’ll have to agree to disagree about the message being a bug here.
