Need help customizing header of template

  • I need to add things to the header in the following theme:

    https://www.templatemonster.com/wordpress-themes/19503.html

    There is a gif in the header called “slogan.gif”. I’m wondering if I can enlarge it to put a picture of the site owner so the picture will go in between the text and the globe.

    I hope it’s OK to post the code.

    By looking at the code, is it OK to at least double the width and increase the height of “slogan.gif” so I can put a picture on it that will appear to be in the middle of the page, and be flush with the top and bottom of the black strip?

    I just tried it and the new image was way off center.

    The dimensions of the original gif is W332 X H166.

    The dimensions of the new gif is W600 X H310.

    What do I have to change in the coding so the new gif will be correctly placed in the header?
