• So…. free version on this doesn’t do anything. You can’t even send notification email to customer. You have to extension for $35. This is VERY basic feature.

I’ll still give 4 star since it seems like good plugin but I stopped testing once I realized that I cannot even send notification to customer using free version.

    Hi bulewold,

Thanks for trying out the plugin and for the rating.

You are correct, the PDF & Email extension is required to send client emails and notifications direct. The extension also allows you to print PDF’s and attach these to emails or simply download them and then email to your client.

Surprisingly, a lot of users do not need email functionality. They would prefer to use their own email client, which is why it is an extension.

The extension can be had for $28 (20% discount) simply by sharing the extension on Twitter, Facebook or Google+.

Well, I was comparing your plugin with two others and they both offer email as standard free version but charges for pdf which is common practice. I still gave you 4 star since it seems to be a solid plugin but I do really believe email notification is very basic standard feature and something I need. And I typically purchase my plugins after putting free version to test for a while. Good luck.

    Hi bulewold,

Just thought I would let you know that we have now added notifications as part of the core plugin.
So you can now set up email templates for quotes and invoices and send your clients emails direct from the WordPress admin.

There is also automated reminders which can be set at varying different intervals for when an invoice becomes overdue.

I know it is a month later, and you have probably already settled on another invoicing solution, but thought I would let you know.

    Cheers

Hi there, I appreciate you following up. And yes, for my site I have settled but I have a new client who might need invoicing on their site so I’ll try out and recommend it. you see, I recommend all ‘free standard fully functional’ plugins to my customer and tell them to upgrade if they want extra features. Win-Win I think if you ask me. ??

Thanks and I do appreciate your following through on this for me.

OH, I should comments that late invoice auto notification is awesome feature. the other one I ended up using only has manual notification.

However, if you ask me, That ‘Auto past due notification’ feature definitely can be premium feature since it’s convenience. ??

    No problem at all.

Yes I thought about making the auto notification a premium feature but I was feeling generous ??
