• You cannot just delete this plugin! It will stay on your pages! How unbelievable unprofessional is this? For me this is scam-ware when they won’t let you go. Now I have to hand code my way back to normal. DON’T INSTALL unless you intend to get married forever.

  • Sounds like cache in my opinion.

Definitely cache. Where do these foolish entitled reviewers come from?

I have the same problem. There is some Zopim script somewhere that isn’t deleted when the plugin is deleted. Not in header.php or footer.php.

Clearing the cache does not resolve the matter – if only it were that easy!

I’ve looked at the plugin code and it only inserts the live chat script using the wp_footer hook which is how every other plugin inserts script code. Perhaps you manually inserted the code in your theme or a text widget? Does the script have a comment like this:
<!–Embed from Zopim Live Chat WordPress Plugin–>

I was looking at the same thing after the last two comments. It’s definitely their site cache or browser cache (if they cache html pages via their browser). No where in the script does it actually save the the chat into the database, so the only logical conclusion is cache.

Thank you for your help. The script had been manually inserted into the theme, albeit rather hidden away in the Advanced tab. Apologies to Zopim! ??
