Slows down website

If you’re willing to give Jetpack another try, could you try to go to Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard and deactivate each module, one at a time, until you figure out which module slows your site down?

Yes I ran into the same issue with at least 3 plugins. I found out which ones ran slow with the plugin p3 profiler https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/p3-profiler/ because I got tired of my website taking forever to load.

Once I removed the plugins that were causing the problems my website speed up dramatically.

I’ll let you know if I take the time to give Jetpack another go though I don’t really need Jetpack except for to try to Mimic how wordpress.com blogs work.

When using P3, it might be worth doing your tests while being logged out. The P3 plugin may indeed report inaccurate numbers if you’re logged in to your WordPress account. You can read more about this in this thread, where the P3 plugin author explained how to run anonymous tests:
