This post applies to Yoast SEO version 3.1:

I do like the Yoast SEO plugin, but two things won’t allow me to give it more than 4 stars…

    1. The Snippet editor has been reworked twice now… each time it adds tons of unnecessary code and usability suffers. Please… why not just have a stupid text input box with the current title already editable in it, and let us “edit” it?! Seeing the title in the box, then having to retype it when you want to change one word in it is frustrating. I have a lot of posts that have perfectly good titles that just need a word changed or a punctuation added… to do this you have to click in the box where the title is ALREADY VISIBLE but not selectable, then re-type the entire title from scratch by hand. The way it is now, I’m not sure you can truthfully call it “edit title” when you have to input the entire title the first time you want to make any changes.
The description snippet could work the same way… just a simple text-area with your default snippet in it please!
    2. It seems like the plugin is making posting articles a lot slower and more cumbersome than it used to be, and now it looks like you’ll be charging for it.
    3. Adding linguistic tests for “inclusiveness” is anti-free-speech and an attempt to control individuals who don’t believe like the prevailing social river.

Please address these issues and I’ll be glad to give it 5-stars again.
