• The plugin correctly identified a number of links which were broken and which I was then able to fix.

However it had three serious, and terminal, shortcomings.

    1. As well as a few broken links it threw up a large number of false positives which on investigation were not broken links at all.

    2. Page load speed, as other reviewers have noted, became unacceptably slow.

    3. Scripts took so long to run that my web hosting company suspended my account, resulting in my entire website being taken down for some time. Other hosts may have more flexible rules about this sort of thing, but I had to uninstall the plugin to ensure this did not happen again.
