It is important to remember that *every* WordPress site is different with respect to its theme & plugins configuration, and then the server setup. If you encounter a problem, then why not post the issue in the support forum where the author is very active (replies within 12 hr and gives lots of excellent advice)? This way you can successfully troubleshoot the issue and leave guidance for future reference. Also, keep in mind that these plugins we use on our site for free come as a result of thousands of hours of development. I suppose what I am suggesting is to remind ourselves that this is an open source community and that as users we can give something back by collaborating with developers to overcome issues and contribute towards improvements.

ron7789. I’m using this excellent plugin in a dozen of websites some of them running WooCommerce with no problems at all. It’s very lightweight, well coded, and I doubt the plugin can take your website offline. A conflict with other plugins you may have installed in your website could be the cause.

The title fix is for old themes not yet updated to the latest standards. As far as I know I didn’t need to activate the fix on my websites, perhaps on one website running an old theme, but it wasn’t offline.

The last update is pushed out to resolve one specific issue, which is, as described in the Changelog (I note every single detail in there), to fix uncommon cases with the Home Page and its indexing thereof.

Supporting everyone
As I’m just a mere human, my response times goal are set to 48 hours. But it’s true, I mostly reply within the first 12 hours and I’m more than happy to help anyone out with any issues they’re facing – just like yours ron7789 :).

The issue you’re facing, however, is unrelated to this plugin. But it’s related to the Title Fix plugin.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to replicate such issue you’re facing, this causes my inability to resolve the issue until I know more details.
And with the Title Fix plugin (of where this review is related to), I’m almost certain that there’s a theme or plugin conflict going on. More on that below.

Surmised White Screen issue causes
The only reason for the White Screen you’re facing, I think, is because another plugin or theme closes the PHP Output Buffer without opening one. Adding an @ operator with that action will make sure that nothing will crash, even though it should. Alas it’s a very bad practice resulting of an inability to iron out a local bug with the used theme and/or plugin.
I do not follow these practices, and for a very good reason: I do not want bugs or incompatibilities within my plugins.

No need for the Title Fix plugin, the root cause
Geetar is right, the root cause of the issue you’re facing (with problematic titles) is because you’re using an old theme not yet updated to the latest standards.
It’s possible to resolve this issue yourself, but it requires you diving into your code. You can follow the steps provided within this topic if you wish to do it yourself.

With WordPress being a huge project, and having tens of thousands of side projects (plugins & themes), and also having thousands of monetized libraries, it’s hard to keep up with the constant changes everyone makes.
Every programmer builds things differently, and I need to comprehend that, and work together with it. Many theme developers know how to build absolutely stunning themes, yet they’re designers. Designers go with emotions, and their strive for perfectionism is aimed at the design (the emotional part), not the code quality (the phlegmatic part).
Of course, there are exceptions. Even more so, when a programmer and designer work together, you can get something beautiful and stable at the same time.
However, I’m not in the position to reveal those here.

This all leads my thought process to head towards a plugin or theme incompatibility.

Many bad themes and plugins are still out there. There’s only a handful of testers for plugins and themes to be released.
And with guidelines changing constantly, ones that don’t follow the best practices are still out there.
Only a handful of active and dedicated developers are going through old published plugins to find out security issues (I’ve done so on a few) and that’s far from enough to seed out all the bad within the WordPress repository. This is also only concerning security issues – and not bad practices – as the www.ads-software.com repository moderators don’t have the time to deal with everything else.

In addition to running a poorly written theme and blaming this excellent plugin, the OP forgets to mention ~ I imagine ~ he also has about 125 other plugins running, many of which are old and not being updated. So I think his niggardly 1 star award says a lot more about his knowledge and ability than it does about the plugin and its author.

Hey Ron7789 I’d hang in there with SEO Framework. As a Techtard (me that is) I’ve run into huge problems developing a very large and quite complex WordPress site using a Divi theme. I had/have a problem with an xml sitemap rendering (prob due to a cache plugin I am using) and posted on SEO Framework support and was amazed to get a response in about 2 hours. BTW to date I have had this rendering problem with every XML sitemap plugin I have used – this includes an overpriced, overhyped and bloated Yoast plugin. In fact the only way I was able to beat the problem was by installing numerous plugins and trying them out. Eventually just one plugin worked because it renders a physical sitemap in the WP Content root. Sybre offers great support and wants to look at my issue so he can address it re any conflicts with cachers – meantime the cache plugin supplier simply told me that it wasn’t his plugin (I bet it is!) Anyway, I’d be posting on support because I expect the problem will be resolved. SEO Framework is great mate – hang in there because after using numerous SEO plugins this is by far the best I have come across.

First i wanne say that beside this f#@#$ problem the plugin is great. But this one problem takes a lot of time and i think there was time to fix this bug as prommised after the last update. A man a man a word a word so why here ”attacking” me?

Terence: Okay so the theme generate press we payed for and updatet yesterday is the problem?? And my knowledge? Simplistic conclusion if you do not know the situation.

We have never other problems with generate press that take so much time and problems so we are free to rate a one starr. That is how this system works and that is the game.

We reinstall the Seo framework on a few other websites after the update and now it is okay. Some other sites the reinstall was before the update enough.
All that websites use the same plugins.

However we have still one website that gives a problem. Afcourse we will give you the opportunity Sybre Waaijer to fix it.
