Nice, but slow

  • Tried to use this (with Bluehost). Without images nor plugins I’m getting 2 to 2.5s loading times on pages frequently. Appears to be something with wp_zhoc_options and the columns. Not good enough to debug. Really like the minimalism, but people expect speed from a minimalist site. Load times over 1s are unacceptable. Even 0.8s is not really tolerable.

    What is wp_zhoc_options? My theme doesn’t create a new database table so I think the slow loading speed doesn’t came from Hannover? If you use the demo page as reference (with images ?? https://hannover.florianbrinkmann.de/) for loading speed, I cannot see something like 2 or more seconds. It’s hosted on Uberspace, a german shared hoster.
