• description states that it’ll automatically localise all links, though then in another section says that you can only enter localised affiliate IDs to earn commission in the paid subscription service of theirs.

Pity as I didn’t have the budget to try their paid features, so I’m deactivating this plugin for now.

Hello, I am very sorry that you had a poor initial experience with the plugin, but hopefully this will help clear up some of the confusion:

Although you are required to have a paid Geniuslink account, to earn international affiliate commissions, we have designed the plugin to honor any existing affiliate IDs within your links. This means that any links that you already have on your site, that contain your affiliate ID, will still remain affiliated with your IDs for clicks coming from the US. However, any clicks coming from outside of the US, will be affiliated with our parameters until the plugin is connected to a Geniuslink Account.

On the “Settings” page of the Amazon Link Engine plugin, under “Advanced Settings” you can select the “Honor existing Associate IDs” checkbox, which will ensure that all of your current affiliate links remain affiliated with your parameters.

Again, my apologies for the confusion on this, but if you are still interested in checking out the plugin, or have any questions about any of the above, please don’t hesitate to reach out and I would be happy to help you out. We can always be reached at “help {at} geni {dot} us” as well.

    Cheers,
    -Team Geniuslink
