getting to the admin page

  • A persisitant problem is not being able to navigate to the admin page to login on my site. The normal link does not produce anything.
    Very frustrated.

    “the normal link”??

    example.com/wp-login.php
    example.com/wp-admin

    Which doesn’t work?

    Do you have any plugins installed that obscure or remap the login page?

    Niether one works…….I am not sure about the plug-ins.

    If you have FTP or control panel access to your the file manager, please list the directories you see in wp-content/plugins

    I think you must have some security plugin.

    I asked you to use FTP or your hosting control panel, not to login to WordPress. (If you could do that, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. ?? )

    I am sorry for this….I have no idea what I am doing, just a very illiterate fire fighter. I am using A 2 hosting and can’t tell where the wp plug ins is????

    I figured it out…..it was an update through the hosting…..thanks for direction. I truly appreciate your time.
