2.6 permalinkszzzzzz

    I have been playing with my permalink problem and found that it was caused when i used the same directory names in the custom and category options –

    custom structure – /reviews/%post_id%
    category base – /reviews/%category%

    This does not work and you get 404’s but if you change “reviews” to something else on either then its fine. This was ok on 2.5.1.

    Hopefully 2.6.1 index.php fix will sort this as well

    What fix are you referring to? There’s no “fix” for that setup. Don’t use it.

    Not all possible combination of custom settings will work. That one most certainly will not.
