    I see, thanks for getting back to me.

    That’s unfortunate. Any ideas of what I can do? My existing site (non-Wordpress) already uses this format.

    You must not install in the subdirectory /blog/ and use a permalink structure like /blog/%postname%/

    Thank you, I will try this. Can you foresee any problems with this solution? Is it a hack or a valid solution?
    (I will be installing wordpress in the same folder as my main site then, the permalinks will differentiate between my regular site and wordpress site).
