Blank screen when trying to login / not upgrade issue / not blank if wrong usern
-
I get a blank screen when I try to login via wp-login. Any suggestions on how to fix it? I can’t get through to the admin
One quirk, is if I type in the wrong username/password – then I don’t get a blank screen but the log-in error screen.
I have recent upgraded to WP 2.6 and it was all working fine. I then changed theme to whitespace. Still fine. I then did some small mods to the template. Still fine. But then the next day, I couldn’t login.
I thought it might be a problem with IIS6 and wp_redirect as suggested here https://www.netevolution.co.uk/blog/?p=7 but I tred changing the code and that didn’t work.
I’ve tried deleting plugins. I also tried renaming the plugin file to see if I could get to admin that way (but then I get another error to do with calling the header). I tried most of the solutions offered so far.
Other strange thing is that I updated another blog on the server/host at the same time and there are no issues with that. The only other thing I tired to do was fix the database to try and get back categories that I lost, but all I did was press the fix database button through the cpanel section (bluehost) and actually I could still login after that. It was only the next day it all went strange.
Any ideas? Very frustrating not to be able to login. Do I have to go back to my last saved version and lose my recent posts?
