• Hi this should be a simple one. When a member gets registered and completes registration the user also gets registered as a WordPress user. I have noticed that the member ID and the WP user ID can be different.

    My first question is:
Is the WP user ID saved in any of the corresponding Member tables in order to tie the two accounts together, or is there anything else that ties the two accounts together?

    Secondly:
I’ve noticed the user name is the same in both tables. When the member completes registration and gives a user name does the plugin check to see if that user name already exists as a username in WP users and if it does exist does it prompt the member to try another user name?

    Thanks.

Hi, in relation to your first question, no. WP User ID is independently from Simple Membership plugin. This plugin fully controls the members from your members list and has nothing to do with WP Users. That is why the developers created an import add-on so you can import any User from WP Users list into Simple Membership plugin Members List.

In regards to your second question, no. The plugin only checks to see if the username and e-mail address exist within the Members list in Simple Membership plugin.

Let me know if you need more information.
