Login Redirect not Redirecting

  • Hi Peter,

    I’ve enjoyed your plugin on various sites for a good while now. I’ve recently installed it on a client’s site but can’t seem to get the redirect function to work when logging in. The odd thing is that the logout redirect works fine.

    More specifically, I’ve configured a role redirect for a specific role but the default login behavior still overrides any login redirect configuration I make with your plugin. This also includes Levels, specific usernames, etc. None of the configurations seem to work for the login redirect. Please advise.

    I forgot to mention, I’m using PremiumPress Auction theme.

    the Theme author was kind enough to provide me with a special plugin that will allow me to enter a unique url for the login redirection, altering the theme’s built-in redirect. I have used this to add url https://www.zinglist.com/wp-content/plugins/peters-login-redirect/wplogin_redirect_control.php as the redirect link. I have configured Peter’s REdirect plugin so that the external redirect file is set to “Yes”. However, logging in still defaults to the WordPress dashboard. The redirects I configured in Peter’s plugin do not work.

    duh, figured it out. I was trying to use the absolute path rather than just copy/paste what the actual instructions say to paste into the other plugin:

    wp-content/plugins/peters-login-redirect/wplogin_redirect_control.php

    This issue is solved!

    hi I am new to word press,
    I need to redirect users based on specific field, instead of just (user ID or Level)
    for example base on a group or city or any filed that in the user profile
    argent help
    another example
    if the user from city a then redirect them to page number 1
    if the user from city b then redirect them to page number 2
    and so on.
    NOTE: I am importing all user through csv sheet.
