How to sort by category?

    Hello,

    I have been trying to figure this out for a while, and find that the Carousel works perfectly fine when I’m sorting by newest, or most popular, but I would like to sort by a single category for a single page. I’ve looked around on the forum and haven’t found anything to sufficiently answer my question. Please note, I know just about nothing in regards to coding.

    The category I would like to see is called “Young Professionals” and I believe that the ID for it is “7,” however I may be wrong. I go into the WP Posts Carousel creator and select “Show by ID,” and then type “7” in the “Category ID” section, however when it loads up nothing shows on the website, just blank.

    Maybe I typed in the wrong ID? I’m fairly certain it’s 7, as when I went to my Categories tab in the WordPress dashboard, I hovered over Young Professionals and saw that the link says “tagID_7” with random characters right after it. If that’s the case, then perhaps I typed the ID into the wrong box? Can’t figure it out, and would appreciate some help.

    Figured it out. Just had to type in the ID into where it said category ID. Previously I was typing it into “by selected IDs” as well as “Category ID.” It works now. The screenshot I posted is how it should look. I’m dumb.

    I was just wondering how you got this working. I have the same exact set up as you and when I put the ID in the Category ID space they all get removed.
