Shortcode is visible in some cases

    The shortcode birdie works on visual composition for posts. It displays as it should on posts themselves. BUT, if the first “click to tweet” is within the excerpt sent to subscribers, the shortcode shows up there. Same happens with Jetpack’s Publicize–as in sending this to Google Plus.

    If I did the shortcode in Text mode would that make a difference? Or is there some other workaround?
