I got the same thing. I noticed it a couple days ago. I was foolish enough to not upgrade promptly. I’ve installed the next upgrade, but I’m at a loss for what to do. Thanks.

I’ve had the same thing happen. When I looked at the Google page for reconsideration, I noticed this:

Take it up with google.

And if in fact, its a site that was “blacklisted” due to being hacked/whatever .. maybe that ought to be a wake up call to pay more attention to one’s web site — the fact that Googlebot knows more about what’s going on with a site than the site owner suggests the site owner isnt doing “their job”.

This has happened to many of my clients recently, largely due to some viruses that after infecting a local machine, recovers stored user id/pw information for FTP from the PC. The virus then uploads hidden iframe scripts into pages, causing visitors to these pages to get infected.

Fortunately, Google is finding these quickly and blocking access to the site, but unfortunately many unknowing site owners are not removing the scripts and/or don’t know how to go about requesting Google review the site. If you need assistance in removing the content that caused the malware/attack site label, I’ve found https://www.iframehack.com to be fantastic. They have assisted me with several sites that I manage and each time the infection was removed and with their assistance, the Google block was removed within a couple of days.
