Sorry if this has been asked before. I’m trying to decide on which auction plugin to use. We would need to get the pro version so we can allow multiple users to list and then charge them for the listing.

One of the things we are hoping to find in a plugin are marketing options. For example:

    – Tell a Friend/Sign up a Friend to get discounted/free listings
    – Promo code for discounted/free listings
    – And first x listings are free.

Also I’m unclear how the paypal invoicing works with multiple users. Does each user enter their paypal or paypal pro(?) account? Does it support paypal pro?

And I’m unclear if I have to pay for the addons if I get the pro version of your plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I’ll be glad to answer your questions and help you along the way. Below are point wise answers to your queries.

    1. We dont have a marketing options attached to listing fee. Listing fee is very simple in nature. Admin activates it and decides an amount he is going to charge. Users while adding auction are shown payment button through which they can make the payment and their listing would only then be listed.

    2. Paypal invoicing is only applicable to admin auctions. For seller auctions, we use paypal adaptive API where PRO plugin generates payment link and sends it across in email.

    3. PRO is inclusive of all addons.

Do let me know if you have other questions.

    Regards,
    Nitesh

What about “buy now” auctions? Do they need to wait to get the email for the payment link or is that embedded in to the website?

And I’m assuming that’s paypal standard right?

    Hi,

Buy now are instant buys. PRO has Paypal embedded payments where buy now transactions are made there and then.
