• Hi. It seems I can’t change the Start Day nor the Start Time any more.

I tried on different websites and it always says Monday and 20 (server is at GMT-3, just in case). When I change the values it seems to save them just fine, but if I enter configuration again they are unchanged.

    Any ideas?

    Hi there –

I haven’t heard of this happening before but this is a value that’s saved as a cache value, if I’m not mistaken. Do you happen to have a cache enabled on your site?

    Thanks,
    Kat

    Hi. Thanks for answering.

No, those sites do not have cache plugins installed. They do use Wordfence, which has caching options, but they are disabled.

Further tests show I can change the amount of saved backups and the email address for notifications, but not the hours or minutes fields.

Is there any database entry or file you know of I should check?

Does the same thing happen if you create a NEW schedule and try and set the settings the way you want them? If not, create the new schedule and delete the old one. It will help you overcome this issue. Then we’re just left with trying to determine why it happened. :/ Hm.

In any case let me know if you are able to set up a new schedule with the settings you want or not, okay?

Tried that but the problem persists.

Something that I now realize is happening (maybe I didn’t see it before, or maybe it’s due to the latest update) is that the box where the schedule is summarized does show the changes I make.

Yet the Settings form does not. It’s as if it had a hardcoded default.

Interesting. I’m going to list this as a glitch and might be back with more specific questions from the developers, okay? If you can think of any additional information that might assist us in troubleshooting please don’t hesitate to reply here with that.

If anyone else has this same issue (as described) please weigh in here as well, adding any additional information you can about your site, errors, anything you think might be helpful. If your issue isn’t exactly the same, please open a new issue, though, pretty please ??

Thanks so much for your patience and I’ll let you know as soon as I have an update!

Thank you, Kat. If I think of something else useful for the case I’ll let you know.

I was just wondering, as I troubleshooted with another user, whether you have tried to uninstall and delete the plugin, then reinstall it again. Do the same issues remain? Would you be able to check that out?

Make sure to download any backups before you do that as I think they’d be deleted as you did that.

    Let me know?

Hi, same issue for me. Tried to uninstall, delete then reinstall. Not working.

I can’t replicate this one – are you guys able to give me any additional information? Can you do a screencast of the backup process, or a screenshot of the settings and the settings section at the top of the page (the summary for the backup), and maybe give me a little more information about the server? Specifically, which version of PHP and whether you have updated WP and/or the plugin to the newest versions?
