• Hi team!

There are few help that I am in need of for my website: https://www.crimsonapril.com :-

    * I don’t know how to upload social media info. at the footer where copyright is written. Right now it is visible only on clicking + sign; I used Brankic plugin for that.
    * I am not able to customize my website, it shows loading even after when I left it for 1 hour. As I want to add logo and personally written Crimson April at header of the site.
    * Can I have the blogpage also seen as the portfolio template? If not then I would like to have it showing only the summary with few lines under the featured image. Right now it is showing featured image with full post, since the images are being repeated, it looks messy.

I loved how https://tyrrellnashphotography.com/ has done it. In terms of fonts and background and styling.

Kindly guide me with as less coding involved as possible, other wise I know I have to go through it anyway ??

    Hi team,

I have changed the theme already, due to a bit lack of patience from my side. But would like to mention, that the theme is good and so is the support team here at the forum. I have gone through each page and I admire the efforts made by people who have resolved so many issues.
    Thank you.

    Hi @tara-nair,

Thank you for your kind words around the theme and the support team here. ?? I’ll go ahead to answer your questions, in case you wish to switch back in the future and in case others searching this forum have similar questions:

    * I don’t know how to upload social media info. at the footer where copyright is written. Right now it is visible only on clicking + sign; I used Brankic plugin for that.

Illustratr supports a social media menu that you can activate by first installing/connecting the Jetpack plugin and then following these steps:

    • Navigate to Appearance > Menus in your WordPress admin area.
    • Click on the link to “create a new menu.”
    • Enter a name in the “Menu Name” field and then select the “Create Menu” button.
    • Next to “Theme Locations” towards the bottom, check the option next to “Social Menu.”
    • From the “Custom Links” module on the right hand side, begin to add URLs to your social profiles to your new custom menus.
    • Once you have added the links you wish, save your changes and the theme will automatically convert them to social icons.

    * I am not able to customize my website, it shows loading even after when I left it for 1 hour. As I want to add logo and personally written Crimson April at header of the site.

Where are you seeing the loading message? This doesn’t sound like a theme specific issue and, as a first troubleshooting step, I recommend disabling your plugins one by one to see if any are causing loading issues in your admin area.

    * Can I have the blogpage also seen as the portfolio template? If not then I would like to have it showing only the summary with few lines under the featured image. Right now it is showing featured image with full post, since the images are being repeated, it looks messy.

The portfolio template and page your posts are listed on are separate, however, it is possible to style both in any way you wish by creating a child theme and digging into the theme’s code.

You don’t have to dig into code to control the excerpts that are displayed alongside each post on the blog page, though.

You can place a More Tag at the point you wish for your post to be cut off. More information on the More Tag, including steps to add one, can be found here:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Customizing_the_Read_More#The_Excerpt_Basics

The More Tag can be used across most themes, not just Illustratr. ??

    Hope the above is helpful!
