• I am using the most recent version of both WordPress and Woocommerce.

I often clone a product to a draft to avoid re-entering redundant information. Unfortunately, this is causing some issues with the review system.

    This product: https://spot-of-tea.com/shop/black-and-blueberry/

Has not been reviewed (and when the reviews are selected, it prompts to be the first to review), but it shows a 5 star rating. I cannot seem to figure out on the backend why this is (they have different SKUs).

    Hi there,

If you clone the product you also clone all its meta information. I would expect the review info to tag along.

Can you not see the already present review info in the newly cloned product? Perhaps hidden in the custom fields?

    Hi, thanks for your response!

Haha, wish I’d known that earlier. That makes cloning basically useless for me.

The only thing on the product edit screen that is anything at all with reviews is the tickbox to allow reviews. I tried unticking it, saving the product, and then ticking and saving it again, but that didn’t work.

As far as I can tell, there is nothing more that I can change on the edit screen. The custom fields don’t have anything (total_sales is the only option). The SKU numbers are different, and everything else is stuff that multiple products share (Custom product attributes, shipping type etc).

Is there maybe something I’m missing? Or do I have to delete the page and create a new one?

Thanks again for your time. ??
