Bug: Permalink “Events” made serios problems ;)

  • Dear Community,

    i have a blog with lots of beautiful blog posts and some static pages which i use for Category Pages instead of the generated category pages from wordpress.

    So i have the page:

    myblog.de/events/ und the category page for my blog post category “Events” (myblog.de/category/events) is redirected in my htaccess file.

    So far so good. A few days ago i decided to install the Markup (JSON-LD) structured in schema.org to put a little bit of markup to my blogposts. I wanted to serve google ??

    I realised a very special phenomen: my myblog.de/events Site was empty. not a 404 but it tried to show a category page and this was not possible- maybe too many redirects?

    I debugged this issue for hours and hours and then i found out that this 0lugin makes this trouble.

    do you know that? i think the article type “event” and “video” have their own very special category slug is this possible??

    I would be very glad about a feedback ??

    Schema.org Type “Event” are you sure that you want to use?
    Video and Event is set to custom post.
    Once you have set the Disabled to set the registration of the custom post it does not work.

    Dear Miiitaka,

    i did not use the Event-Type… only “Article”. But i realized the phenomen as described above..
    my static Page wwww.mypage.de/events/ appeared as a “empty” page (not 404, not blank but missing content only header footer etc..)

    and it was a permalink problem.. when i change the permalink structure (to ids e.g.) all went well. but this ist not really a solution. So i concluded there is a conflict with the plugin because the deinstallation removed the problem….
