    Howdy,

Im in the process of getting approval from Apple for ANF publishing. I published an article that had problems and so had to delete it from the Apple News Publisher end via iCloud.com but can’t figure out how to republish the article from wordpress without deleting and re-writing the article as a new post. Any ideas?

    Thanks

The meta box does prevent re-publishing once the post has been deleted. However, you can republish it from the Apple News list in the dashboard.

    thanks for your reply.

when i try and re punish from the dashboard list i get the following error:

There has been an error with the API: NOT_FOUND (keyPath articleId)

really not sure why this seems to be so difficult to do ??

There is an error reference for the Apple News API available here: https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/General/Conceptual/News_API_Ref/CommonErrors.html

NOT_FOUND indicates that an invalid endpoint was accessed, though we haven’t seen that error before. We can’t replicate it on this end so if you need to get this accomplished immediately, you’re best publishing this as a new post.

I found this thread because I also encountered this error when deleting a post from Apple News and then attempting to republish/sync via WordPress.

It seems that once the post_ID is deleted from Apple News, you can’t use the same post_ID again, and that’s why the error is thrown, at least that’s my experience. I can neither update the post or publish it from the dashboard because of this error.

It’s not an error, it’s perfectly valid. Apple News does not expect you to republish the post once it’s been deleted. We’ll look into potential solutions for a future version.
