I can’t insert images (haven’t felt this noob in a while)

  • I recently upgraded to 2.6 and can’t figure out how to insert and upload an image through WP. I’ve searched the boards and can’t find any answers to my problem, but I did notice that a lot of people seem to dislike 2.6.

    Anyways, when I try to post a pic like I normally would, I don’t see an icon for it.

    I poked around and found a button that appears to be used for inserting images. However this button is greyed out and doesn’t do anything when I click on it. Is this what you guys see too?

    Please let me know if you’re seeing the same issue as I am or if I’m just a complete noob and I don’t have a box checked.

  • On my 2.6 installation, there’s a list of icons to the left of the ‘Visual’ tab basically, it says ‘Add Media’.

    It’s odd it’s not on yours from your first screengrab you posted which is odd.

    So does that mean I missed something during the upgrade? I’m hosted with Dreamhost and they have this automatic one-click upgrade, I wonder if it’s flawed. Anyone else here hosted by Dreamhost and upgraded to WP2.6?

    there is no telling how many people are hosted on on DH and use WP — hundreds, thousands.
