    Hello,
When I click on a thumbnail of an image in Nextgen gallery it is displayed nicely on my PC. When I do it on any mobile device, weird things happen.
In order to isolate the problem I’ve installed fresh WordPress 4.6.1 on my PC, added Nextgen gallery as the only plugin and using twenty sixteen theme, created a page with a gallery. I see the same behavior.
Strangely, I couldn’t find any report of such problem.

@rafimoor – Can you provide a remote URL where we can see this first-hand? Local installations are generally not accessible and it is possible the local environment may be causing an issue in its setup as well.

    Thanks!

    My site is https://eclectique.co.il .
I’ve made many changes to css files, so I thought mybe its my fault. That’s why I’ve created the test environment on my PC.

    Thanks

Oh, and another thing: The site is in Hebrew… I guess you’ll browse it blindly. The galleries are in each item of the dropdown menus. Some are albums and some just galleries.

@rafimoor – Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,
As I wrote in the first post, exactly for these reasons you mention, I’ve created a test environment on my PC, with no other plugins and a standard theme. The problem appears there too.
Also I tried it on at least 8 different mobile devices, so I don’t think browser cache is the reason.
The only thing I didn’t try is to install the English version of WordPress and work without right-to-left css (rtl.css). If you think it might help, I’ll try it.
I can also create a test environment on the internet, so you can access it, though I don’t like putting test environments on my domain.

    Thanks

@rafimoor – It may be easiest to see the issue first hand …

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

The problem is only in the Hebrew version of WordPress. If I change WordPress language to English, it disappears.
I’ve put the test environment on the Internet at https://test.rafimoor.com . Can you take a look?

    Thanks,

@rafimoor – Thanks for the sample link but as is, I am not having any issues viewing the gallery on my iPhone. Are you still seeing the problem?

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

This is very strange. As you said, the WP language was Hebrew and the gallery was functioning well. I’ve changed it to English and then back to Hebrew, and the problem returned. Unfortunately, I didn’t save a snapshot before I did it, this could help finding the problem source.
Anyhow, you can now see the problem on the test site.

    Hi Cais,

I’ve checked again. Unlike the real site, whhere the problem alwais occurs. On the test site it shows on my Galaxy with Android browser, but not with Chrome and on my Ipad with both Safari and Chrome (It’s a bit old version). On my wife’s Iphone there is only Chrome and it works fine.

    Thaks,

@rafimoor – I would suggest looking at the differences between the two sites to see if there is something that might be creating the conflict on the site that is not working for you as expected.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
