    Hello,

    I like the Multisite Language Switcher Plugin really a lot and it does a great job on our blog. There is only one thing I dont like so much and was wandering if it can be changed:

    At the end of an article that is also available in e.g. german there is the line:

    “This post is also available in de_DE”

    with the “de_DE” as a link to the other article. I dont like so much the “de_DE”, instead a “german” or even a flag would be great. Is that possible?

    I use WPML and it displays the available language and not the country/language code. What plugin/widget are you using?

    @lovetravellingfamily Just use the description field in the plugin settings. ??
    @@cowsgomoo WPML is another plugin … you are here in support for the Multisite Language Switcher.

    Thank You for the information, works.

    I have another question. The hint for other languages is written in the same style as all other text. Where can I adjust that (e.g. adding background, making it bold…)

    Hi Dennis. I’m not sure I’m using the description field properly. I have a Spanish translation site and even though I put the word ‘English’ into the description box, I still get this at bottom of my linked posts:

    Esta entrada está también disponible en en_GB.

    So… I’m thinking I’ve missed something?! Thanks for the help. This plug in is awesome!

    I’ve not used this plugin (I was pinged because of the locale you mentioned), but reading the code, I think there’s a Settings -> Multisite Language Switcher -> Main Settings -> Display setting that has a dropdown – ensure that says “Description”, and it should then use your “English”.

    If not, then I’ll let the original author set you on the right path again ??

    Oh hang on, I get it now! On my main site (in English), I put ‘English’ in the description field. On my translated site (in Spanish), I put ‘Spanish’ in the description field.
