  • Hi Davide,
I’m afraid there is no “yes” or “no” answer to that question because it depends completely on how the plugin is built. A visual editor can be completely safe and it can be vulnerable depending on how the code is implemented. For all plugins the most important thing to look for is whether the plugin is continuously maintained and if authors implement fixes for bugs and security holes.

Well, but increase code lines does not expose a greater risk chance? And a visual composer increase more and more code lines.

    thanks

    Hi,
I would say the amount of code does not affect the security of a site. There are huge packages of code that are very safe and small packages of code that are very insecure.

However, the higher amount of plugins you have the more likely you are to lose control over whether they are all safe and up to date. So one of my most important recommendations is to keep the number of plugins you use as low as possible and closely monitor the ones you have to make sure they are up to date and safe.

So, the number of plugins matters more than the number of lines of code in any particular plugin.
